    Hi Forum
I have just bought this helmet, there are sellers pictures, I haven't received it yet to post more and better pictures, but I am in doubt about it

    Could it be:

    M35/M40
    Civic M1918 (double vented)
    Civic Curved Dip
The rim or edge is folded

I also had a look at this page: Combat models and makers – German Helmet Vault

It is an "M34" type. This version (rounded transition) originated in NS era and continued to be produced well after 1945. A stamping of "DIN 14 940" (typically found in rear neckguard region) indicates that the shell was produced post-war.

Thank you, yes I know they were produced after wwii, and I also know the Din stamp which came after the war, when I get the helmet I will see if there are any Stamps, and upload some better pics

Now I have received the helmet, there are no stamps, nor ET, Q, Din etc, and the weight of the helmet is light compared to some "real" helmets I have, so I also believe this one is post- war or perhaps at the end of the war when there was lack of metal.

Hello John, the ware time ones were lighter too as they were not combat helmets and a lot of the war time ones were not stamped.
I think yours is probably a wartime produced one.

Thank you, I AM always in doubt, every time I buy one, I have 20 helmets, combat, civil ones, but then it is great with our forum to ask about the military stuff. I live in Denmark, and after the war there were a lot of stuff and also in Norway, a person in family helped cleaning out the shelters and bunkers, I have been so Lucky so receive all, helmets, gasmasks, and some great things from Gestapo i Copenhagen.
    Regards
    John
