just the one thing I've heard here again and again is the decal should come to a point at the bottom. rounded is no good.
-
That one has quite a few problems I'm afraid.........
Cheers,
Terry

So it's only the decal that causes problems on originality?
Is it due to wrong light in the photo that it looks rounded?
-
I could be wrong but the leather on the liner looks to be replaced Czech leather, If you look closely to the drawstring holes you can see the marks were the metal eyelets have been removed, I have seen this done before. Chinstrap is bad as well unfortunately. Others will pass more judgement on paint & decal but overall does not look promising sorry. Cheers, Sean.

"Only the decal" is more than enough, since that's the most important part of an SS helmet. But in this case, I think the shell is the only thing that is original WWII vintage.

Terry said it! ..... a made up helmet sadly.
The old 'round bottom' repro decal which in itself has the completely wrong construction, an aged repro liner and chinstrap.

If he sold you this one I would be worried about the "original ss cover and an original ss m43 panzer cap."
