Did the german maker se make m40 helmets under hkp.
Hi everyone just a quick question regarding the SE mfg i've seen an M40 with the HKP stamp?I always thought they did that after the transition over to the M42? or did they continue producing the M40 later than the other maker excluding Quist.i'm sure it was sometime in 1943 they changed the stamp name.any help or direction as always would be greatly appreciated as i'm seriously wanting to purchase this particular item thank you in advance Jake.

I´m pretty sure they produced hkp´s before 1943, i own a SD Luftwaffe that is side stamped hkp. I would think they changed somewhere arround 1942?

Did you get the helmet? I see it is on "Hold". Looks like a nice unissued example.

The majority of HKP helmets I see Jake are Luft M40s. My first combat helmet was one of these. Along with a Heer ET M40 I feel that these are thee German fighting mans helmet.
