The helmet is a restored and repainted, even with original liner, and original, but mismatched by condition chinstrap

Can anyone tell me what division the Runes represent?
I have a photo of my Girlfriend's Grandfather in a German uniform with those Runes on his left side collar tab.
Any help would truely be appreciated.

They were not a division. They were a para military "self defence force".
