Great collection David! I went and purchased 3 Ikea Detolf cabinets last week. I'm planning on getting a set of cupboards built to go underneath so as to raise the shelves a bit. I'll then add some fluoro lighting. I chose the room as it has the most stable temperature in the whole house and even on very got days it doesn't fluctuate too much.

Great look David , I have mine in book cases but they take away light and I am tired of them. Thinking about a set up like you have. Long shelves with helmets.

I can relate to the changing tastes over the years , I used to be a strictly combat helmet collector. Now I have a mix of everything and my collecting urge is equally satisfied :-)

I went the "bookcase route" & yes...they take away light. My room is dark enough as it is.
