    Normandy camo is kind of a deceiving name, because they were used all over the western front. One example is all of the "Normandy" camos found in Norway. http://www.german-ww2-helmet.com/433023588

    The German camo helmet


    A popular camouflaging method was to just smear mud all over the helmet and let it dry. Couple that with some wire for leaves and grass to be attached, and Voila! Camo helmet. Here is yours truly demonstrating it.
