Looks like a very nice example. On WWII helmets a size 66 shell should have a 58 or 59 liner but with WWI shells and transitionals, you often see a liner that is a size smaller - a liner for a 64 shell in a 66 shell for example - because the WWI shells were smaller in the dome area than the WWII shells.
Cheers,
Terry

Thank you, Terry, I didn't know that.

Looks like a nice one.
This however is technically not a transitional but a "re-issue"
Transitional helmets are pre war and were double decal.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Sorry, you're right of course - re-issue it is.
