Luftschutz decal for review

I am looking to buy this helmet but something looks off on decal - is it just worn or maybe been "repaired"?

It does not look original to me but wait for more experienced members to reply. I would pass on this one.

I think you are spot on Joe. I think we are looking at an original decal that has been damaged and then someone has filled in the important bits (very badly) to maximise a sale. Would have been much better left alone.

Looks like someone used Tippex (badly) to restore the decal , If I were you I would save your money and wait for a better example ( their cheap & plentiful enough) regards Paul

Do not buy one in this condition , there are so many better ones out there. They are not really expensive.

Original, but badly touched up, as Frank says, there are many much better examples out there to be found. Leon.
