Luftwaffe M40 DD opinions please

Hello and a good start to the weekend.
This helmet will be auctioned and I would like to know what you guys think of it.
It is an ET 62 M 40 DD Luftwaffe helmet.

It's an M35 model & the decals appear original. Might be an original brown Luft strap too

Shame about the rust - probably stored poorly over the years. But it is a DD and the nat decal is in reasonable condition. If the chinstrap is original it is quite desirable - they're hard to find, as David knows too well. I've been after one myself for ages.

yes i agree, badly stored but that's a good DD luft. nonetheless the heavy rust it still bears two nice decal and it is interesting to see how the lacquer has preserved them from the oxidation.

Indeed , it is a good untouched helmet. Badly stored unfortunately.
