Hello
I get this restaurated green M-40 police beaded helmet and I need your help and opinion.
I want to know is this correct colour for this type of helmet and decals?
Was this common combination during ww2?
Thank you and best regards :-)

Could you take some pictures in natural light and post some detailed closeups of the decals? From a distance the graphics of the decals look right, but the wear on them is a question mark, as there are usually some flakes where the decals go over the bead. The paint is also a question mark. These were usually issued in dark blue and with those that were repainted other colors (I have green, cinnamon, gray, tan and brown beaded helmets) the dome usually is the original color. It also looks as if there is paint over pits, a red flag, but that might be the photography. Much better pictures are needed to give a fair assessment of this one. Thanks, Jim G.
You are right, those are the right decals for a police helmet.
From what I see fake.

I think when he said "restaurated" he meant restored. He is just asking to make sure that the decals and paint color are correct in comparison to originals.

The paint should be much darker.
I believe the green should be similar to the color of the inside of the skirt on my beaded m40:
Here is better pic. of restored helmet.
My question is, did this combination of helmet, paint and combat liner exist in ww2?
