Could I please have some expert opinions on this Helmet which I am hoping to purchase? All looks good to me, but I’m no expert on Helmets compared to some Forum members. ET64. Lot number 3421.
Thank you,
Colin

Already answered on WAF :-)
As not everyone here is member of WAF (like me...maybe I will be in the future)...
Please correct me if I am wrong :
'widespread' pocher decal. Can also be seen on very early M35's (like this one) from other makers than EF and NS.
Early aluminium liner supports this theory as also does the datebase :
M35
3348 ET 66 DC LW alu liner
3408 ET 60 DD Heer alu liner
3424 ET 64 DD Heer alu liner 1937
3424 ET 64 SD Heer - reissue alu liner
3426 ET 66 DD Heer/KM? alu reinforced liner
3455 ET 66 SD Heer - reissue alu liner
Ps : again, I do not consider me a specialist. I have the information about the different heer decals here right in front of me
Ref the above Post, I have been informed by various Helmet specialists that the decal is the rarer Wilhelm Abels Heer decal.
Cheers,
Colin
Ok, next time I will turn my tongue a few times around before I speak...
Helmcolllector,
Ref your Post above -
I think you have taken my reply to your Post the wrong way. We are all here to learn and I was just trying to point out to you what the experts on WAF were saying ref the decal since you don’t have access to WAF. I appreciate your assistance and I dare say you know a lot more about Helmets than I do since it is not my specialty.
Happy collecting.
Kind regards,
Colin
Yes it is the Abels decal , always nice to see it. A decal found only on early Et and transitional helmets. (observed so far).
Here are 2 examples I have.
Colin,
no problem ! I didn't have the impression that you were insulting me or whatever.... On the contrary, thanks for posting this helmet so I keep learning !
And @Frank : if I ever can gather a fraction of your knowledge about German helmets, I'll be very glad !
Very nice helmet. I like it!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
