M40 Reverse Decal Beaded Combat Police Helmet - EF 64? - Lot # 11633

Yeah, I pulled out the reverse decal box this week. I picked this one up in North Carolina while at my first Autism Conference about 28 years ago. This one has a nice leather liner and the long end of the green chin strap, the short end has been lost to time. The paint is in good shape and the decals are in really good shape. I am pretty sure it is an EF shell, and I also think it is a size 64, but the stamp is light and obscured by the thick coat of factory applied smooth blue paint. The lot # is more easily read - 11633. Another one of my favorite reverse decal examples. Hope you like it. Jim G.

Question... are there known examples of standard combat style M40 (or M35 or M42) Police Helmets with the decals reversed like this (on the wrong side of the helmet)? I recently came across one that, to my eyes, looks legit, but the decals are reversed.

Yes, but they are far less common. Here is one that I think may have been worn by a member of the 4rth SSPolice division. Jim G.
