M42 SD Luftwaffe Helmet Advice & Opinions Please

I have the opportunity to pick up this helmet from an local gun show acquaintance for $800 US, which I think is a bit high. He let me take it home to post. Missing chin strap which is not good. The helmet, liner and decal look good to me and a larger size IMO but not anywhere close to my specialty, if I actually have one. I would not mind having a placeholder until I find one in better condition. LW chin straps are not easily found in my area. Opinions are appreciated. My apoolgies for the glare, bright and sunny day here, which I am thankful for except for pics. Thank you ofr looking.

The decal is good.
The liner is a tad puffy, could be a sign that the leather was spun in.
Any mid to late war German helmet strap would suffice​, LBA marked Luftwaffe straps were only issued to early Luft M35s.

Right as rain. The price was a little dear given the condition, but all in all an original helmet. Jim G.

Nice Score John. Looks good to me. I find a lot of Luftwaffe are missing straps. And yes a biggie Size is desirable for many. You did well!
