Hello guys and friends of german Helmets

My 1 and 1/2 years project is finished
    First to this project:
My project was to complete a M45 helmet shell with 100% original parts like a 1944 dated liner and a shortened chinstrap
To sweet it more I taken over my original field made Splittertarncover on it
Finally after I bought as the last part the Ring with liner for 160€
Today I have taken the parts together and the result was better than I hoped
The shell have the complete original colour and the liner was in perfect condition but original
The first pictures were from the liner and the rest were of the complete helmet
    I hope to enjoy it

    Looks nice Bavarian

PLUS you have the added experience of how these helmets were put together.

    Thank you Andy
It was not easy to find all that parts
The Shell was overpainted BGS Green and bought it on ebay for 135€ as I thought it was a M42 but better
The Chinstrap was on a size 64 1944 Linerband in a M42 Czeck refurbished shell for 70€
The Rivets were from the M45 helmetshell
The plates for the rivets were from my Crap package that I have bought for 50€ with rivets,Chinstrap parts and Liners
And the liner I have bought from Potatodigger for 160€ as the last part this week
And to the cover that I found in a underbag in my 1914 dated Julius Moys Tornister from WW1
Were it came in I had no Idea but it looks very good on this helmet

    Best regards

    Hello
    Thank for the comments
That makes me happy that this helmet you like so much
If the war were not ending in May 1945, the M42 were not the last helmets that were developed and used
    Best regards
