Here is my newest addition to my helmet collection, a Q60 Luftwaffe M40!

The paint is about 90+-% there, and the decal is a great Quist style, and is 97% there. Great toning by the way, that I cannot capture on camera. The split pins are not original to the helmet, but match up perfectly with it. Sometime down the road I'll have to find a liner for it, but don't worry, it will not leave my collection if I do it.

A size 53/60 helmet is very small, way to small for my head, and would probably only fit my brother. (56/64 is my size) I can imagine a young Luftwaffenhelfer manning the flak guns as an after school activity somewhere in Germany, 1943...

    Congratulations Rusty.

That’s a very nice Luft helmet in a scarcer size with a very nice decal.

What’s the inside like? Would love to see some photos.

No liner, but I could get some pics tomorrow. It's raining here now, and I take all of my pictures outdoors.
