Need help LW or KM m35?

Is it a early blue luftwaffe or kriegsmarine?

Looks more like a teal colour, I would say a post war paint.

No real KM shipboard indicators to me. Just looks like a blue shell mate

Hello Ulke,

The blue appears to be over some remnant Apple green paint although a little hard to tell from the pictures. Certainly not a smooth blue grey factory Luftwaffe paint as would be expected on a DD Luft helmet.

Any chance of a photo side on below the air vents where the decals would have been placed?

Inside paint appears to be luft blue but could be the lighting. Exterior "teal" is an overpaint as you can clearly see paint over chips. When? Who knows.

Photos are too small and blurry to really give much of an opinion.

And agree with Andy, clear side level side photos are needed to see if there are remnants of any decals under the paint.

Definitely not the original paint. It is however difficult to determine when it was painted. The liner pins however were in the helmet when it was done. So could be war time.
