I have no interest in this helmet, I thought it would be a good thread for discussion purposes, I have performed a preliminary research of these types and believe the decal does have the same 'O' font and is more shield like than rounded as per previous comments on this type of helmet. Enjoy, G

Sorry but it is a fake. Very late lot would not have been decalled.
For the record despite being ‘in a book’ these decals have not been seriously studied by anyone yet.
For me at this point it is not even sure it existed. The only ones I have seen were fakes.

Great discussion. Thanks for starting another one G. I am sure glad I have not run across one of these with some purported history. I would have likely been sucked in as I have not seen before.
I cannot understand why these helmets did not exist or why there are very few photos of them in wear. OT was active and had several armbands. Why wouldn't they have had a helmet decal, especially from 1942 forward?
