Is this a original Chinstrap?

I found this interesting chinstrap in a postwar police modified M42 and I am not shure if it is authentic
It is not stamped and seem like a normal german Chinstrap ,but i am not shure
Is it a good one?

Hi, it looks quite good to me, no "fuzzy" edges to the leather that most fakes show, the "tip cut" looks right and it has certainly had genuine use judging by the way the leather has stretched. I do not think it would look out of place on a TR period helmet. Leon.
