Interesting helmet!
I know your photos are large but there are a few areas I would have like to be able to zoom up on ( like the paint ridges where the wire sat )

Looks like some type of Coastal Artillery Camo. Nice background and Helmet. Cant comment on the Camos authenticity.

It too would like to see some better close ups. Based on these photos I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with the paint.

But as you are posting more about learning about the prior owner and not looking for authentication, will leave that up to you.
