I've been given the opportunity to purchase a German helmet that was used in Finland. It has a skull & crossbones painted on the front. Does anyone know why the Germans did this ?

The Germans did not do this.
But the Finns did. But rare!
We need some pics.
Cheers, Ade.

I don't have the helmet yet. I will ask for photos & post asap
The suspense is killing me.
Please be very careful as many of these so called Finnish Helmet are fakes, copied from photographs from WWII, there is a very famous photo of two Finns wearing this style helmet, I believe it was in Signal.
I'm hoping for pics later. The guy I've recently met is a great dealer & ive already got a few bits off him. So soon as he sends me them I will post. Got a great ww1 trench truncheon off him a week back.
