This was at a gun show. Picked it up in a trade. What is it? Is it real?

it looks like a double decal police M34 with a weird liner. it looks like one of the liners found in spanish modello z's.

hi, it looks to be an original m34 police helmet, used by the german civil police and not a combat helmet. cheers paul

I have seen this style liner in civic helmets before. I think it is all original.

Right as rain, but it was painted blue post war. Whoever removed the paint did a good job, but obviously didn't finish the job on the top. For the right price it would be fine. Jim G.

makers mark seems to be "VorschrillsmeBlg n.V.ll.M.dL.vo 3. 5. 1934" though somewhat faint in parts
