Thank you all gents! I agree this is definitely one to be inspected in hand rather than over the internet. Still making up my mind, I would like to find a nice DD at the show so maybe worth holding off for the time being but we will see what happens.

Michael - I honestly could not give you a solid answer on who the maker is, I’m tempted to say it may be SE? From these pictures but the quality is too poor to tell.

I do believe this one, for correct authentification you would have to inspect it in hand, i agree. However personally i believe the band is original to the Helmet, simply because its a very unusual setup and most fakers would likely go for the more usual approach of a breadstrap or a net - as this unusual setup raises a lot of eybrows.

From the photos I would say it's an SE64. I also agree everything looks good on the helmet.
