The liner is Spanish made (from the M42) and has been installed post Civil War, 1943 onwards. I believe they made these all leather liners until the 1970's. This one looks to have some age and may be an early example.

Something is off for me at least, shouldn’t the helmet in the 1943 refurbishment been painted a dark green? And not this black/grey colour, unless its the lighting
The helmet looks the correct dark green colour in my opinion.
In saying that, although the helmet was mostly painted dark olive green, I do believe the M42 or "Modello Z" as it is sometimes called, can vary in colour and I wouldn't worry too much about colour variants not being original.

One thing I know for certain after having both the German made M35 and the Spanish made M42 (clone) in hand is I would rather the German helmet protecting my head any day! The M35 was a far superior shell!
