    Gentlemen!
I've been approached by another collector who has found this helmet in a basement. Finding place is the isle of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.
I'm very sceptical about this item, as I havent been able to find sources describing similar helmets. My first impression was, that someone had a bit of fun creating this.
I know that some ssh39 was reissued as Luftschutz, but I've never seen this before.

First of all: Is it a ssh39 or a czech M53?

    Further facts:
    • Liner looks homemade
    • No ink stamps visible

Thanks for you opinions to this,
    Michael

I've never seen one with a heer decal on it before and that sort of worries me but the decal kind of looks good

The liner is correct for an Ssh 39. I like this one. Jim G.

There were instances where Soviet helmets were used for the Army. I know that Finnish Armored Troops had some.

I too have never seen this configuration but it certainly appears to have been this way for some time. I hope it is good but I have no idea. Leon.
