Maybe the Eagle at the top holds the envelope instead of the swastika? Just something that popped into my mind looking at the drawing.

Tis a shame Dave, it would have been only a small deviation down from Tony in Sydney and then across to us in the west.

Quick update, I doodled out a very rough prototype logo for the front of the lid (while I should have been working, it's quiet today though
). I tried to make it in the vein of German wartime awards. I like the way they have an image of something relevant to the award in the badge like a flak gun or tank etc. I used the envelope icon for a post/thread, with the 'WRF' font something like the DRL sports badge.
This will probably change a bit before I paint it onto the lid. I'm not happy with the eagle on this version.
I don't think it's a good idea to have a swastika IMO

You mean Rene that a customs check somewhere may stop it in it's tracks?? ..... good point, I therefore agree ( even though I'm not part of it ... this time ) that the envelope is a better idea .... "mailed on eagles wings"
Now THAT's truly what I call 'LUFTPOST'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
