Heer buckle (Dransfeld & Co 1936)

Hi, please help with the WH buckle. Manufacturer's markings on the tongue (Dransfeld & Co 1936). The number 587 is stamped on the inside. This is the first time I have seen a number stamped like this on an original buckle and I see no reason why this front would be stamped in modern times. Have you met anyone with similar stamping? In any case, what was it good for. Thank you for your help.

Buckle is fine, smooth to the rear very typical of Dransfeld buckles as to the numbers who knows, unit mark, the owners service number could be post war!
