Heer enlisted mans belt buckle (42 marked)

Just purchased this nice Heer belt buckle that IMO shows just the right amount of wear to fit into my "salty" items collection.

Please could anyone tell me a bit more about the makers mark ?

I believe the maker's mark represents E. Schneider, Ludenscheid.

They also had an RZM number M4-19 which was given in 1935 not sure what other buckles they made probably HJ or others like PL or DAF . Charlie
