Hi guys,
Picked up this belt buckle from trader, on another forum. For a whooping $55 shipped. Not my full area of knowledge. But, I think it looks good. Wouldn’t mind a second opinion.
Thanks for the time/any thoughts,

Looks perfectly fine to me. I personally don't see any red flags. If anything the catch looks like it could have been reattached at some point.
Let's wait for more members who are better experienced with buckles though.
An original by Richard Seiper & Sohn.
Looks like the catch has been brazed back on.
Ralph.
Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
Thanks for the info guys!
Thought the catch too was “different”. I dove into 100x picture threads and saw a few that had similar amounts of solder. Including a buckle just sold from IMA-USA.
Overzealous German factory worker? Or a period repair? Possible post war?
Thanks,

Nice original buckle by Seiper with a repaired catch
Ben
