Nice original Buckle, IMO. Made of Iron, laquered.

Common fake HJ buckle with the maker stampings under the prong bar. Also see these buckles with "aged" finish etc.

There are about 4 different variations of this fake Assmann buckle on the "fake HJ/DJ" pinned thread. All with the maker stampings under the prong bar.
