Richard Seiper and Sohn produced buckle in very nice condition. Nicely stamped marking. I have a couple of RZM 50 marked buckles and the marking are poorly stamped.

By obverse detail and with all due respect, not the most exciting or eclectic of DJ buckles by say the Sig Rune design or whatever. Genuine? An original and period buckle in my opinion. Anyway and having said that, the micro markings under the pin shroud and claws are of course well documented and still, a bonus feature of this buckle. As Kirby has already so rightly confirmed, a DJ buckle manufactured by Richard Sieper and Söhne, Lüdenscheid. As we are now aware, an early RZM contract number in isolation of a prefix M code, usually however not always, correlates the manufacturer to that otherwise assigned to an M1 code. A rule of thumb of course and beware, not definitive or absolute by any means.

    Regards and best wishes,

    David
