Good question Ben!
I would say this little piece of a puzzle could be the key to identfy another unmarked nickle SS buckle.
Unfortunately I do not know such a piece.
Best,
Guido

So, Ben and Chad. Can someone show us a early Aurich HJ?
Hello Gents,
I have gone through my collection and unfortunately I do not have an early HJ by Aurich. The first HJ marked by Aurich is a nickel steel with crank catch. Aurich has a very distinct eagle ( I call it the dog face eagle) and as with many manufacturers the question is, did the makers create their own stamping dies in-house? The dog face design is shared with Wilhelm Schroder (M4/46 KH/46) which I do have early HJ examples in nickel silver. I went through al of my unmarked nickel silver Hj to look for a design match and didn't find any. If anyone does have a marked nickel silver HJ by Aurich, id love to see it ! Aurich marks could include RZM 105, M4/42 , KH42 , M5/11 , UE11
Thanks
Chad
zeppelin , that is beautiful !!! I love the markings and look at the ugly eagle ! I love it!! you know who to call if you want to part with that
I contacted the owner of the buckle in Wehrmacht-Awards.com , but he didn't answer me. Try you Chad, you can do it.
