The kind of artefacts like this absolute mint HJ belt buckle of mine give an insight of "the allure" that this kind of objects might have had on young people at that time. I can actually get some of the same feel that young boys might have felt when presented with an item (a shiny buckle) like this in 1939. The globe in the background is my fathers, it´s from 1937.

I´m planning to get the buckle to a real photographer soon.
