    Thanks for the info on the buckle. I don't collect them, and have no knowledge on the the subject. For $10 I figured I couldn't go wrong either way.

    For comparison, here is an example of an original with the nice multiple Assmann stampings. Note difference in catch and ears etc.

    Hello,

    that's a late war configured steel buckle with early stamp ,like on a nickel silver buckle ..................

    The round wings are another reason for fake ........
