Hi!
Looks good one.
m4/38 in steel for review
nice!
In my opinion, a very cool buckle and not easy to find.
Definitely one of the best looking eagle designs! Nice buckle
Nice buckle. A steel Sieper is cool and uncommon. The thread in post #2 was interesting and one I had not seen.

Just curious, I looked thru the other HJ buckles trying to find more RS&S buckles. I found a zinc version on the HJ maker's tread, and I have a flat-back aluminum example. And now the steel example that started this thread. Any early nickel or nickel over brass/steel examples? Thought there would be more variations given RS&S was a prolific producer of Kriegsmarine, Heer, SS, Luftwaffe etc.
Post #17 is the zinc variant example from Marcus: H J Makers
My aluminum flat-back example also a variant: M4/38 RS&S Variant
Thanks Weller. I agree with you. You would think there would be nickle variants. Maybe unmarked nickle? As a lot of them around. I have 3 RS&S variants although one is missing prongs and in poor condition.
Well, just answered my own question. RZM 50 (M1 codes) are RS&S. This is my early nickel buckle
