Thanks for any opinions on this Luftwaffe buckle. It has a big berry like the steel big berry fakes. I have been looking at lot of the second pattern aluminum Luftwaffe buckles and haven’t found another one that looks like this. A few have a bigger berry but not this big. The eagles head also looks a little round. If it is original I would like to have a second pattern in this condition.

Interesting buckle. Looking at the Luftwaffe makers thread, #35 Wiedmann is the closet match I find. #40 Werner Linker is close but a smaller berry, much like #14 Dransfeld. Ben has referred to these smooth back, or non pebbled, unmarked aluninum buckles as "Dransfeld style". Hope to hear other opinions.

A few things look similar on #35 but the photo aren’t very clear. Trying to find another Wiedmann Luftwaffe but no luck. Lots of Wiedmann Police buckles. Thanks for looking.

I think that the maker is Julius Maurer

I have a Julius Maurer Heer buckle and it is marked JMO in a small triangle under the prong bar. I will have check with the dealer to see if this one is marked. I found another example and I think your correct.

The Julius Maurer Heer buckles are marked under the prong bar as you said but I don’t have seen marked Julius Maurer Luftwaffe buckles

Thanks for the info. I text him I’ll take it. All my other second pattern are tabbed but none are as nice as this one.
