What do you think about it? We have seen the M4/30 marking on the side before but maybe not on Luftwaffe?

Agree, that is a very early Luftwaffe buckle and the catch is missing. Pebbled on front and back. I think the buckle is very similar to the buckle I posted in Post #8. Remove the catch and very similar. I do not this the leather tab is a match, but cannot be 100% without close-up pics.
