    Hello, friends.

I have a buckle and a belt. I like them. On the back, there is a stamp that is hard to read. Does anyone know what this means? And the belt has a felt lining. How often was felt glued under the belt? Why is felt needed? Could it be the parade's belt?

    With regards
    Victor

Nice set, Overhoff is the buckle maker, the felt is typical in parade belts

Thank you for your comment. I really like this kit. I'm glad the news is good.

The felt helped to protect the uniform. It was an extra cost like higher grade leather or a patent leather finish. A nice set.

As others write. The first buckle model LW from OLC - Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid with parade belt.

    Friends, thanks for your comments.

Belt leather is elastic, good leather.

You are talking about a high price. This is understandable, I read that the belts were of the best quality. But are these belts a private purchase?

Yes I mean the belt would cost more if it is backed or if it is a better thicker grade of leather. Just like a dress bayonet. A etched blade or a stag Handel were a extra cost.
