Unbelievable! faking DDR stuff. I remember in the 1990's when DDR caps started appearing at "Surplus stores", they were dirt cheap. I never looked at them at the time, never figuring there would be a future interest in them.

I'm surprised as well that there are DDR fakers out there. Makes me want to study original items harder so I won't be conned in the future.
I think the value of DDR stuff will increase in the future, especially for items from the 50's and 60's. I've seen Luftstreitkräfte tunics from the 50's go for quite high prices, nearly four digits.
West German police visor being sold as "DDR MdI GST KVP NVA Schirmmütze Offizier DVP selten":
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Besides some obvious differences, what are the key features and differences in these fake caps? Construction? Material? I'm a mere beginner still in these matters, but I'd like to know more, because a lot of these don't seem different from originals to my inexperienced eye.
I am always leery of M-56 visors missing their tell-tale sweatdiamonds:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Repro bullion Genl's wreath:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Putting this one in the "questionable" category.
it is supposed to be a rare subdued field tunic/visor.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
General:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Another from the same seller:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
coil-wire bullion again:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
