1939 Black Wound Badge (1939 Verwundetenabzeichen im Schwartz)
Hi All,
I've been buying a few 1939 Black Wound Badge varients recently. Different metals, pin configurations & makers, that sort of thing. I understand that only 15 to 20% were maker marked.
I've put a list together of maker marked badges that I've compiled from dealers lists/sites.
Has anybody else got details they can add?

All steel badge maked 126 & E.H. - Eduard Hahn, Oberstein/Nahe. There is also a very faint E.H. to the left at the back of the helmet. Great condition except for the end of the pin that has been pitted from rust.

Hi Adrian, Nice badge. I like the worn ones. They have a bit of character. Incidenty, my first piece of militaria was a BWB bought 30 years ago while on holiday in Axminster. Can't remember how much it cost; but it was numbered 3. Wish I had it now!!! Cheers, Richard.

Very nice badge and rare to find marked by this maker. I once had the Imperial version with a small EH on the reverse of the helmet.
