This would appear to be an Albeit worn black grade vershion wound badge which to me looks to good to be true as it has all it's original finish front and back and looks to be In a unissued state The gold finish you are referring to is called Tomback/brass and usualy occurs when the black finish starts to were off .I would hold off on purchasing this Item till you get more feed back as these are faked and repod very often.

It looks ok to me. Mark's right on what he says about the Tombak show through the black. It usually occurs on the high points, like the Swaz as yours does. Is there any makers mark on the reverse? Stewy
It says '100' inside
Thanks
Thanks Stewy I did not want to send him down the wrong path. If it is good it is in awsome condition Very nice find congrats Glennyboy619

It looks fine to me, you shouldn't be put off by finding a nice mint award, they do exist! Very often it's the opposite, people get taken in by the worn and aged fakes because of the wear. Fakers can and do artificially age their products to deceive people.
To be quite honest Adrian this is probably the nicest example that I have ever seen you are right thoe you get used too seeing badges medals etc... That show some kInd of age or wear.

Oh well thank you, well im getting it for £25 so what do you think of that?
That's a good price, especially for the condition. Snatch his hand off! Well done.
