yes the badge is bent and that gap must have been made as the badge partly came apart, even tho the badge is ground dug its still a rare maker mark to have isnt it?

These Aurich PKAs are not particularly rare, but I find ground-dug badges to be pretty cool They probably have some real story to tell...

yes i like it and a good addition to the collection was thinking of removing the silver paint job would white spirits do the job?

I can't help you there rory, not my strongest field such things But you could post the question in the Restoration & Refurbishing Forum here on WRF, I'm sure you can get some answers there. I personally would never use white spirit though, better to use some clean spirits.
