Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz - which maker?

Hi, sadly I only have these two images at the moment. I would like to know if anyone could identify the maker on my VWA.
The catch looks like maker 93 but I have not found one example where the hinge so as low as in my one. Additionally the base of the hinge is uncommonly wide and round.
Help much appreciated.

It certainly looks like a Simm & Sohne badge, although the hinge is missing, the footprint looks like a ball hinge once sat there, for sure a Gablonz maker.
Hopefully a few more opinions will be forthcoming.
