I hope you don't mind me asking if this Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber is of pre 1945 construction, it is beyond my realm of knowledge.

Any chance of another view of the hinge and catch? Looks like Deumer parts, just want to check the catch and what looks like a small block hinge. These badges are outside of my knowledge but if I can match the parts to Deumer badges I've got then it might help.

I believe this is an original with a replaced catch.
The only examples that utilized this type of catch were tombak, and did not have a catch plate.

I'd say you're right there Ralph. The badge is a dot for dot match to yours. On a closer look it does appear to be a stamped flat wire type catch on the original badge.
