panzerkampfabzeichen real nice but strange maker

Hi fellow collectors,

I got myself a real nice panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze.
It looks real nice, details look good, very well made.
when you look at details you can almost not believe this is a replica.

IS IT?
Or is it a post war made replacement?

The maker markings (schwerin berlin68) are so small but really sharp.
but i have never seen a panzerkampfabzeichen from the Schwerin factory.

Who can provide me with more info...

Sorry to inform you but IMO, this is a reproduction.
Schwerin did not make these, and the soft edges of the reverse, the pin, as well as the pitting, would indicate a cast copy.
Some of the details of the obverse are soft as well.
I believe it is a copy of a Steinhauer & Luck PAB,
Here is mine to compare.

Unfortunately Ralph is correct. Schwerin didn't make the Panzerkampfabzeichen. And I agree that it is likely modelled on a Steinhauer & Lück badge judging by the guides have been placed for the reverse hardware.
