    Both are nice 'type 2' Daisy Panzerkampf Abzeichen's. The difference between these and a 'type 1' is the finish on the background between the birds legs and it's wings. On 'type 1's it's a dot pattern, on 'type 2's, as above, it's a diamond or basket weave pattern. There is also a slight difference in the roadwheels design, 'type 2's being better detailed in places.

    There is a school of thought that these 'type 2's were produced by the firm Schuarte & Hohfeld, who picked up this generic design to use after their own dies started to wear out rapidly, causing major production problems. But it is only a theory!
