I found these depictions while performing research on another topic, they are from an old German newspaper, I have little time to transcribe the text to English, I will leave that to others.. G

Hi Gwar,

I have seen these in silver period publications before and the ISA artist rendering reminds me of the early hollow P. Meybauer Cut Out variants.

Here is one I saved...and like you, have not translated the the description of "Das neue Infanterie~Sturmabzeichen".

It would be good to find some of these to compliment a collection of a type of badge. Trouble being that you couldn't realistically take a pair of scissors to a period newspaper or publication so they would have to be clippings already made. I like them a lot thanks to both for posting.
