Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber

A fairly recent arrival. Zinc badge by an unknown maker, but commonly referred to as the "Vienna design". The finish has survived well for a zinc badge with some loss on the rifle stock, wreath bundle and the right edge of the eagle's wing.

Hi Todd,

Congrats on adding this nice Vienna Design Semi-hollow variant to your collection.
From my studies, I have found this variant utilized the following hardware set-ups;

1. Sheet-metal hinge and round catch plate, "C" style catch.
2. Sheet-metal hinge and rectangular shaped catch plate, "C" style catch.
3. Bloch hinge and "?" style catch directly soldered to the reverse.

Here is my example with like hardware to compare.

Oh, very nice! I just picked up another silver Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen myself (should be here Monday) with some nice finish remaining, but I don't think its quite as nice as this one - yours is very fine. That'll look great on display!
