A new addition my IAB collection.
I have been looking for a nice example of this one for a while now. This example still retains most of it's silvering to the finish.
Not sure if I should refer to this one as crimped in hardware or pressed in.
    Ralph.

    Hi Ralph

Congrats on adding another very nice example to your collection.

Myself, I refer to these variants as the fully "crimped in" Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen.
This example has both the "L" shaped hinge and catch crimped in place using a cylindrical peg molded into the reverse.

There are also FLL examples with the "L" shaped hinge crimped to the reverse and a "?" style catch soldered in place.

    Nice one Ralph...

    Best Regards, fischer

    Thank you fischer!
I am aware of the "?" catch variant but this is the one I was after first.

An extremely uncommonly seen version, for sure, and in superb condition. A rare find! Well done!
