Hi Ralph

Here is another Missing Leaf example in bronze from my collection. I've taken some pics of the catch.
The catch on my three examples have the classic "?" shape, but that does not mean other shapes were not used.

The puzzling thing for me is the finish on yours does not show the tell-tale signs of heat scorching if repaired.

In the end, if your inspection shows it has been repaired then I'm sure it has been.
