Infantry Sturmabzeichen seems too thin

I have this Infantry Sturmabzeichen in my possession which is missing the pin assembly in the back. The detail seems nice but I have not been able to find an photo of an example that uses the exact casting in the back for attaching the pin hardware and has the same exact detail in front. When looked at from the side it also seems a bit thin, this becomes especially apparent when comparing it to a known authentic one I have. Any information is welcome.
